School Visits and Workshops

Julia is available for readings and workshops at schools and youth organizations in Seattle and throughout the Pacific Northwest (or much further afield for virtual visits!) She has previously worked with the Scottish Book Trust, as an author on the Live Literature program, working in schools throughout Scotland's central belt.

Julia has worked extensively with teenagers (12-17) in workshop settings, as well as with emerging adult writers! Her possible workshop topics include querying and pitching, writing tropes, LGBT+ representation in fiction, fantasy world-building, developing characters and voice.

Please contact her for hourly or day rates. For non-profit organizations, there is flexibility, and Julia is often willing to wave her fee for organizations catering specifically to LGBTQ+ youth.
